Burnt out on it all
Feeling a little burnt out this morning ... in more ways than one .. this week school starts back up for our kiddos. It’s a big change. It’s bus rides to a new school - new teachers - making new friends - new routine .... and this tired momma is ready for a better routine...
🔥
I’m burnt out - in many ways & it’s beginning to surface. Burnt out on working 12-16 hour days - burnt out on trying to be wife, momma, farmer, cook & maid along the way ... I think we all get a little burnt out come August!!
☀️
We all love the summer days - but come the end of august everyone’s ready for a normal routine. Cooler temps - cozy nights (or at least I am!) I’m ready to have dinner on the table at a normal time not just at 10pm whenever we walk through the door from being in the fields.
🌱
As someone reminded me ... it’s only 6(or so!) more Mondays in the fields. That’s it. Just a few more weeks of Hay Season 2021. Then it’s fence building - horse rides - weaning calves - tagging newborn calves - and whatever else that goes on in a daily life of a farmer.
Being burnt out is normal ... it happens to us all even when we love what we do! The key is to remind yourself it’s only a season - it’s only a few days/weeks - it’s not the end of the world.
Pick yourself back up. Dust your pants off and carry on! Because fall leaves will start to change in the burnt end of the Summer .... and a new season will start
😉
