Its Okay to change careers…

We’ve been raised (or maybe at least in my mind) to think we have to figure out every bit of our lives…. We’re asked at a young age -

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Heck I’ve even caught myself asking our kids this - why are we constantly putting so much pressure on ourselves to figure out what we want in life from the time we’re 5 to 18??

Granted - I’m doing what I said I wanted to do at age 12. I just wanted to farm. And be like my dad. But at 16. I was wanting to try graphic design - because I was told I’d be good at it. At 18. I shifted directions again. To Equine Business - at 21 God shifted me into Finance & where I contained to think that’s where I belonged.

And it was. Until I met Jason. And that 12 year old me started knocking at the door again. Begging and pleading, to be heard. Except I ignored her for the first 5 years of our marriage…

Now - well. Look at me now!!! The 12 year old in me. Finally got her way. Farming. Raising cattle - running tractors.

🛑 but moral of the story … don’t feel like you’re stuck with what you’re doing. God has Plans. Trust in those - even if it’s scary. And unknown. I walked away from comfortably- security- & more …. To fulfill my passion as a Farmer.
