What I’ve learned over the last few years as being Jason’s right hand “hired hand” ….. is that I literally CAN DO anything I put my mind too or well …. What he pushes me into believing I can do { His confidence in me is way more than I’ll ever have in myself at times!!!}
I can do anything I want … but I can’t do everything because at the end of the day. Something won’t get done to the standards we live by. We all want “more” in today’s society. Everyone’s guilty of it. Wanting bigger, stronger, wealthier etc … and by wanting more we want to try and cram as much into a 24 hour day period as we can get.
I’m guilty of it. I wake up on the general at 4am… some days I sleep in til 530 if I’m lucky … & tired enough – but I get burnt out trying to do too much. Constantly overwhelming myself adding more “unnecessarily” things to my plate.
When Jason & I started to prioritize what was most important not only for the Farm [Hay & Cattle] Business but our marriage & the kids – things started to work more and more our personal goals.
Do I miss running barrels every weekend? Hauling Shi & seeing horse pals ?? Simple. Yes. But can I ride every day at home when I want. Also yes. If I make time for it…. I think the older we get. The more we realize what’s truly important and what we’re good at. We should stick to it.
Jason’s whole life has been centered around Hay. And now. Mine is too and I can’t wait to share the buddy seat this summer with y’all too!
