Hay season came to an end … and as we start to transition into a harder season of life, unknown waters, and taking steps to a place we never thought we would be in …. I find myself falling into some of my “old” thoughts. Digging deeper into my faith than ever before. Sharing those moments once again & well to be honest…. I’m feeling myself pivot and it’s here, whether I really like it or not.
So what else can I really do, but embrace it, right?
Pivots in life don’t mean failure – and believe me. I wish I’d known that along time ago. My twenties might not of been so rough. They mean opportunity and they stand for visions. They include all the crazy ideas and new beginnings. Pivoting is for the dreams you never thought could come true but can and should.
When faced with the opportunity to pivot, you’re also faced with a lot of unsolicited advice. Advice from friends, family, or coworkers that you did not ask for, nor want, but now have you put an insane amount of pressure on your situation. And trust in Gods timing and plans for you.
And I think that’s maybe what is so truly HARD about pivoting in life. We don’t know the “outcome” – we like the comfort of what we know, we don’t like or accept change well. But what if I told you that one simple change would change your whole life.
The last 7 days have been a true whirlwind. There’s moments I stop and think about the “what ifs” – the “why’s” – how “unfair” … but I can’t. I can’t let myself go down that road. All we can do is trust in Gods path that He’s already declared for us and pivot with His grace.
I’m still here. I’m still the voice behind #ChroniclesofKayla – still a wife, mother, farmer… just embracing life a little bit differently these days. Just will be sharing more “my old” way … writing and blogging – because that’s “my” therapy.
