That’s when I started shifting my focus from my blog to “film” … I posted my very first VLOG to YouTube at the end of 2019 right after we purchased some Fancy Heifers due to calve in February – –

I left my Financial Career at the very end of 2018. Never did I think I’d be sharing my story in this way nearly 6 years later – I honestly thought that I’d be begging to go back to my office, that working with Jason, let alone being a “stay home farm wife & mom” would kill me.

I was not prepared for the whirlwind of 2020. That was our first year working SOLO together. No hired hands. My first for a lot of things actually.

It also severely tested our relationship & marriage. I didn’t think we would survive. I kept thinking. I’m not built for this. My dreams of farming and cattle and honestly being HOME was not what I was made for after all. That Jason was better off without me being here. – that maybe we made this HUGE mistake on me coming to the farm full time.

What started out as *Horses Hay & Harmony: The chronicles of a farmers wife” in 2015 to The Chronicles of a Farmers Wife – pivoted in 2022-23 to where we are today… Chronicles to Kayla. Because I am so much more than the BOX I PUT MYSELF in as just the Farmers Wife.

Sitting down to “write” became my journal after sis was born in 2015… I never “blogged” to make money. Heck I still don’t Vlog to make a living (I BALE HAY for that..) my hope & really only goal has always been to just share my story & return… maybe help one other person going through the same things in life.

Something that I’ve found so important to my day sort of got push to the back burner over the years. journaling as my therapy … and sharing that journey.
