2026 — Grit, Grace & the Road Ahead
There’s something about the quiet of a new year that feels holy. The calendar flips. The dust settles. And we stand at the edge of a dirt road once again—boots on, hands open, hearts a little weathered, but willing.
2025 was hard.
Not the kind of hard you brag about. The kind that humbles you. The kind that stretches your faith, tests your patience, and teaches you what resilience really costs. It was a year of grit—showing up when it would’ve been easier to sit down. A year of grace—learning that strength doesn’t always look loud, and healing doesn’t always come fast.
But through it all, God was faithful.
He carried us through seasons we didn’t choose.
He steadied us when the work felt endless.
He reminded us that grit without grace will wear you out—but grace without grit won’t move you forward.
And now… here we are.
2026 feels different.
Not because life suddenly gets easier—but because our posture has changed. We’re not rushing ahead. We’re not forcing doors open. We’re letting the Lord lead us—step by step—down the path He’s already prepared.
This is the start of a new chapter.
A chapter of writing.
Of sharing.
Of telling the story of God’s work in the everyday—
in the barns and backroads,
in early mornings and late nights,
in the grit and the grace that hold it all together.
Soon, I’ll be inviting you deeper into that story with something very close to my heart—Dirt Road Anthem.
A place for honest conversations, faith-rooted reflections, and real-life stories from the road we’re walking.
It’s coming soon—and I can’t wait to walk it with you.
As we step into this year, my prayer isn’t for perfection.
It’s for obedience.
For courage.
For faith that keeps moving, even when the road is uneven.
Because if there’s one thing 2025 taught us, it’s this:
God does some of His best work in the hard seasons—so long as we’re willing to trust Him with the path.
Here’s to 2026.
To new beginnings.
To deeper faith.
To grit softened by grace.
And to following God—wherever this dirt road leads.

Scripture for the Year:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6

A New Year Prayer:
Lord,
Thank You for carrying us through the year behind us—the heavy days, the quiet victories, and the lessons we didn’t know we needed. As we step into this new year, help us release control and trust You with the road ahead. Give us grit to work hard, grace to rest well, and faith to follow where You lead. Let our words, our work, and our lives point back to You.
Amen. 🤍
Happy New Year from the dirt road…. I can’t wait to see you there 🤎
