🌾 Sunday Morning Reset (Halfway Through January)

Halfway through January… and I’ve already “missed” my goals. I’ve skipped my 4am alarms to get extra rest … The new planner isn’t filled in neatly – its half started & half colored in blank spaces. The momentum I imagined for January didn’t quite show up the way I thought I would be – .

So now what?

This Sunday morning looks a little different. I’d be lying to you and myself – if I wasn’t a little upset with my lack of progress in 2026 … Coffee in my favorite mug. The house is quiet for just a moment – at 5am…

My Bible sits open — not because I’ve got it all figured out, but because I don’t.

This week at Wieczorek Farms already feels heavy and full all at once. Three days of STL trips for Keaton’s chemo treatments. A lot of what seems like long miles. Long waits in clinic rooms – . Long prayers whispered in hospital hallways and truck cabs.

Then it’s back home to catch up — laundry piles, the never ending amount of chores, not to mention the emails I leave unanswered, the creative side left hanging, because life still happening whether we’re ready or not.

And in the middle of all that?

I’m still chasing growth…..

Learning a brand-new editing software (with a MacBook that likes to test my patience). Working through the early pages of the 52-Week Dirt Road Anthem Project — slowly, imperfectly, faithfully. Trying to show up, even when the schedule doesn’t look pretty.

Here’s what I’m realizing halfway through this month:

A reset doesn’t mean you failed. It means you paused long enough to realign. God never asked for perfection — He asked for presence. He doesn’t operate on January timelines or goal charts.

He meets us right where we are — tired, behind, hopeful, trying again.

So this Sunday morning reset isn’t about catching up. It’s about letting go. Letting go of the pressure to “be ahead.” Letting go of the idea that growth only counts if it’s visible. Letting go of shame for the days that didn’t go as planned.

This week, I’m choosing grace over grind. Faith over frustration. Progress over perfection. And if you’re halfway through January wondering where your motivation went — you’re more than welcome to come sit here with me for a minute.

Drink the coffee.  Open the Word. Start again… right now.

That’s the beauty of Sundays. And the mercy of God — always new, even mid-month.

Lord,  Thank You for meeting us in the middle — the middle of the month, the mess, the missed goals, and the heavy weeks. Remind us that Your grace doesn’t run out when our plans fall apart. Help us release the pressure to be perfect and lean into Your faithfulness instead. As we reset this Sunday, guide our steps into the week ahead with peace, clarity, and trust in You. -AMEN

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” -Lamentations 3:22–23 (NIV)

What would change this week if you truly believed God’s mercy resets every single morning — even mid-month?
