We were created for peace, for purpose, and for remembering the true meaning of Christmas — the gift of a Savior who stepped into our world so we’d never have to walk through the chaos alone.

Out here in the cattle barn, December doesn’t pause for peppermint lattes, gift wrapping, or crowded calendars. The chores stay the same. The cattle still need care. And maybe that’s why I treasure this season so much — because God reminds me every single morning that the best gifts aren’t bought… they’re given.

Grace. Mercy. Breath in our lungs. Family. A warmed-up barn.

And Jesus — the greatest present of all.

A Prayer as We Begin December

Lord, as we step into December, quiet our hearts from the rush of the world and anchor us in Your truth. Help us slow down, breathe deeper, and remember what this season is truly about. As we read through Luke, open our eyes to the story that changed everything — the story of Jesus. Bring peace to our homes, calm to our minds, and Your presence into every part of our days. Amen. 🤍
